10 things you might not know about me

  1. I love nature. All of it. I love watching animals in their environments, natural processes, learning how to conserve and save the environment, rock formations, and fossil hunting. I almost switched my major to environmental science a few years ago but I ended up switching to Spatial Arts BFA. I still want to save the environment somehow!!

  2. Speaking of switching majors, I am incredibly indecisive. I started out at UC DAAP for Fashion Design, then switched to Undecided, then wanted to go into costuming, then American Sign Language Interpretation, then studio arts, then spatial arts, aka ceramics and sculpture. It takes a while to find your passion, but when you know, you know. Or do you?

  3. I have a darling pet tortoise with my fiancé. Her name is Scoot, and she is the apple of our eyes. But really though, who knew a reptile could fill your heart with such warmth?? She is the best little tort, with a love for danger and hatred of baths.

  4. Speaking of fiancé, I’m engaged to my best friend in the whole wide world. We are currently wedding planning which turns out to be a lot more exhausting than planned! We plan on DIY’ing as much as we can (I mean what else can you expect from an artist) so I’ll probably be blogging about that in the future. DIY wedding invites, wedding favors, centerpieces, lighting, who knows what else maybe even DIY wedding dress!

  5. Visiting as many National Parks as I can is on my to do list. So far, I can cross off the Grand Canyon…there are a lot left.

  6. My three older brothers are my biggest inspiration and role models. Growing up, they pretty much shaped my personality, my sense of humor, and my extreme love of Star Wars. They’re the strongest most awesome men I know!

  7. I really enjoy photographing nature and the cosmos (through my fiancé’s telescope). I’m not great at it, but it makes me happy when a crisp image comes out of the long process. Being a nature photographer is a dream of mine.

  8. My brother is an excellent baker and I make a lot of pottery for him to display his magical creations in. In the future, it would be awesome if we could open a bakery or small café together. Teamwork makes the dream work.

  9. When I have free time, I love playing me some video games. I’m talking the kind of games that only work on the 17 year old family Gamecube. Windwaker? 007 Nightfire? DoubleDash? Yeah, those games. Sure the joysticks on the controllers might be loose and the B button gets stuck all the time, but I live for the nostalgia.

  10. I am a maker, simply put.
